Backup Data Provider

Im using NinjaTrader with Continuum, can anyone tell me if its worth subscribing to Kinetick and using them as my backup data provider. The way I see it is that if I lose connection with Continuum, Kinetick wont be any use because I wouldn't be able to place trades with Continuum anyway. Am I looking at this the right way? Thanks in advance

Hello AndyM,

The Continuum connection is divided in a connection to the price server and order server. The price server connection provide realtime data, while the order server connection allows you to place orders. If you only lose connection with the price server connection, you can still trade and you will continue to receive realtime data from Kinetick.

If you lose connection to the order server, you will not be able to trade anymore. However you will still receive realtime data from Kinetick.

In addition, Continuum only supports futures data, while Kinetick supports stock and forex data as well.
