Price Range of Each Row-Custom Range

Hello,

I would like to change the scale of a Chart. There are some instruments like the DAX or 6E that are very volatile. I know it is possible to change the scale and instead (in case of 6E) of going from 1,2476 to 1,2475, it can go direct to 1,2474, that´s to say a 0,0002 tick difference instead of the usual 1 tick.

How can I do that?

Hi dvercher,

I think you are referring to the tick size.

The tick size can be changed in Tools -> Instrument Manager...

Search for and select the instrument -> click the Edit button.

If the tick size is changed the point size has to be changed as well to match.

Changing the tick size can cause undesired behavior and could cause your instrument to not work correctly.

Thanks for the reply. So in my case, if I change the tick size of the 6E to 2 ticks instead of one, what should I set for the point size?

I not sure on the formula to convert this and I will have to confer with a colleague on Monday.

Do you think that FormatPriceMarker() may help?

It must be something related to the tick size, the thing is that if I change that, my Order Flow software does not work properly... Market Profile works fine but not Order Flow.

Any other idea?

I checked with another support member and they let me know that the point value does not need to be changed.

Also, .0002 is not an acceptable ticksize, however, .00025 would be.

As I mentioned before, changing the tick size can cause undesired behavior on your chart and I would not recommend doing this.
