Test broken connection

Hi, for my automated strategies I use Kinetick as data provider (first connection) and TWS from IB as orderconnection (second connection). So my data is coming from Kinetick making the strategy running and code processed. In the code I use unmanged SubmitOrder for sending orders to IB. All works fine. Now I want to test what happens and if the code is functioning fine if the second connection is broken, meaning the SubmitOrder will fail. Do you have any suggestion how to test this, because I can only enable the strategy if the order connection (connection to IB) is functioning well. How can I simulate the broken order connection?

You can shut down TWS manually, this would cause a disconnection in NinjaTrader.
