Is there any RAM saving advantage to splitting up Charts among many Workspaces instead of having them all in 1 Workspace?

also, what is the biggest factor in eating up RAM in general? does having charts - say 60 days back instead of 30 substantially increase the ram needed for that chart?

No, if both workspaces are open at the same time this would not improve ram use.

Many items can affect ram use, there is not one specific biggest factor as it depends on your set up. Yes, the more days to load you have the more ram that will be used. I would recommend reviewing the Performance Tips section of our help guide.
