importing tick gold data

Hello,

i have read the helpfile.

However, please give me some extra guidance. I´m trying to import Tick Gold data. This is the format that i´ve downloaded somewhere

201002172300.last.ntd

Should this be a txt file, do we need contracts and volume ( not visible here ), semicolon etc.

Thank you for your note.

The file you indicate is already in NinjaTrader format.

Was this received from another NinjaTrader client or was this downloaded from a website?

You should be able to place the file in the db folder for NinjaTrader.

(My) Documents -> NinjaTrader 7 -> db -> Tick -> GC and the appropriate contract for this date.

Hi Cal,,

i did already put the GC ( and extracted it ) in the C:\Users\Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db\tick

So i guess i need to follow the steps now via instrument manager & historical manager?

If the file is already extracted and placed in the correct file then you will see it in the Tools -> Historical Data Manager under the Edit Tab
