Multiple entry signals

Hi,

I have conditions where i got long if XYZ happens
{Enterlong(1,Quantity,"Buy1"}

then i have another condition where if XYZ happens i add a position without exiting Buy1

{EnterLong(1,Quantity,"Buy2"}

then if xyz happens I want to exit both entries

{ExitLong(1,Quantity,"Buy1"}
{ExitLong(1,Quantity,"Buy2"}

will that work?

right now I have to name both entries as Buy1 and exit using Buy1

Thanks for your post.

Yes, it is possible to use signal names to have separate orders and exit them at the same time using the fromSignalName.

The usage is:
ExitLong(1, "exitBuy1", "Buy1");
ExitLong(1, "exitBuy2", "Buy2");
ExitLong(int quantity, string signalName, string fromEntrySignal)

You will also need to set Entries per direction to at least 2 in the strategy parameters.
(Or set Entry handling to UniqueEntries)

thank you so much. i had been banging my head against the wall trying to exit/add my second entries. just realized that my entries per direction were set to 1!!!!
