    Having trouble loading RENKO CHARTS

    Hello... New to this forum so please bare with me... I imported the Renko bars etc...but when I go to create a new chart... I just get a blank screen... I trade the forex and hope that has nothing to do with it... I have used NT on forex before with renko bars... Thanks for any help...

    Thank you for writing in.

    Is this with the Renko bars that come pre-installed on NinjaTrader, or are they a 3rd party bar type?

    Do you see any error in either your "Log" tab of the Control Center or as a pop-up?

    Who is your data provider?

      Hello Zach... Thanks so much for your reply - No I just get a blank screen..no error mess etc...

      I tried opening both pre-installed and 3rd party.. and get the same result... - My data provider is FXCM... I am a Canadian that lives in the Philippines... I work at the FXCM office here... Though when not in the office I dont get the best internet connection... I am wondering if that my be the cause...

      Quick question ....Should all the indicators that work on the futures work as well on the FOREX?

      After a long wait I got that error message...(2nd attach)

        Thank you for your response.

        The message you receive appears to indicate that the connection is timing out while it's trying to load the tick data for the Renko chart. I'd like to see you log and trace files. Please send me a note to platformsupport (at) ninjatrader (dot) com. Attach your most current log and trace files to the email, and put a link to this forum post in the body of the email.

        You will find the log file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.
        • The log file will be named "log.20141030.txt"

        You will find the trace file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.
        • The trace file will be named "trace.20141030.txt"
