No data from IB connection for ETF's

Hi

I am currently connected to my IB account and trying to open charts for TLT and VXX but getting the error msg:

error on loading chart data for "TLT Default": unable to change order: Please assign an additional exchange to this instrument in the Instrument Manager TLT Default


What does this mean and what should I do?

Hello and thanks for your post,

You will need to select the exchange in NinjaTrader that is listed in Trader WorkStation for these instruments.

In NinjaTrader, you will need to go to Tools > Instrument Manager. Select the instrument and select “Edit.” Under the Exchanges tab, select the corresponding exchange for the instrument. Press ‘OK’ to save the settings in the Instrument Editor.

Repeat the process for any instruments that have the same error.

Press ‘OK’ in the Instrument Manager to save all the edits.

Bollinger Triple State Installation

Hi

I want to install bollinger_triplestate v3 NT7 and I get this msg:

"the file in your PC is a newer version of the one contained in the Ninja Script archive file you are importing. would you like to replace the existing file?"

I am not sure how to proceed in order not to lose any of the functions that I already have.

If anyone can advise, it will be much appreciated.

If you had set any defaults for this indicator (right click, set defaults for...) these settings are stored separately from the installation itself, so you would be safe to complete the install of this indicator without losing any functionality.



To be safe when over-writing any files, I would advise creating a backup of NinjaTrader (Files > Utilities > Backup…).

Bollinger Triple State Installation

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I had not set any dfaults for this indicator (Bollinger Triple State).

I could not find the function you mentioned (right click, set defaults for...).

I do not understand what this sentence means: 'these settings are stored separately from the installation itself" .... Instalation of what?

That part of my reply was in regards to any changes you may have made to the indicator defaults (open the Indicator Window and right click in the parameters to the right to set defaults). If the import had to replace any files, these changes arn't part of the files that would be overwritten, so safe from being altered.
