Chart-Trader - Live Account

Hi there,

I have a workspace of 16 markets. On startup I want to have the Chart Trader showing me the live account right away. Now it always starts in simulation mode (I already disabled global simulation mode) and therefore I can't see my Limit Orders that I took on my live-account. So how can the live-account be shown up on the chart-trader by default?

Hello Thowe,

You can have your live account load automatically as follows.

Make sure 'Always start in simulation' is disabled at Control Center-->Tools-->Options-->Simulator-tab.

Select your account in all NinjaTrader entry windows you like. Disconnect your data feed and restart NinjaTrader.

Once NinjaTrader is restarted, please check if the accounts are selected once you are re-connected to your broker.


If the account name starts with a letter that comes after the "s" alphabetically, unfortunately it will not be possible to have NinjaTrader order entry windows automatically open up with your account.

thank you for the fast answer. One more thing. By default in the chart-trader the Qty is set to 0.1M. How can I change that?

Unfortunately there is no setting that allows you to set the default quantity. However you can save the order quantity upon creating an ATM strategy template. Please see the link below for more information.
