    Hello joemiller,

    Am I correct you connect to Kinetick in NinjaTrader?

    Forex instruments currently do not receive realtime data with Kinetick. Historical minute/tickdata is missing as well since 2:43 AM MDT. I suspect this is causing the missing daily bar for today as well.

    The issue is likely related to FXCM which experiences issues at the moment.


    By default, forex instruments are setup for the FXCM symbol mapping for Kinetick. You can change the symbol mapping to workaround the issue. For example:

    EURUSD.FXCM --> EURUSD.COMP

    You can also choose a different source, see the link below.


    At the bottom you will see a list of contributors that can be used.

    Go to Control Center-->Tools-->Instrument Manager, highlight the EURUSD and click Edit. Select the Misc-tab and change the symbol map accordingly.

    Once you changed the symbol map, please click OK. Remove and re-add the EURUSD in your instrument list now that it has modified settings and click OK in the Instrument Manager. Instructions can be found at the link below.


    Click OK in the Instrument Manager and reload historical data in your charts or create a new chart.

      hi Jason,

      I don't understand a lot of what you say, so bear with me.

      the chart has been working fine for weeks/months. I am always connected to kinetick and interactive brokers.

        Can you please tell me what connection sequence you use. Are you connected to Kinetick first and IB second? If so, please reverse the connection sequence and check if the daily bar is loaded. Disconnect Kinetick so you are left connected to IB. Connect to Kinetick again. You are now connected to IB first and Kinetick second.

        Reload Historical data or create a new forex daily chart and check if today's bar is loaded.

            You can find the version number at Control Center-->Help-->About (7.0.1000.xx).

                  can I cancel my subscription to kinetick live data and still be able to pick up the data feed to the chart from interactive brokers?

                    Yes, you can receive data from IB as well. Please note that IB does not support any historical tick data.

                      so there is no need for me to subscribe to kinetick live data, is that correct? I think I am paying something like $83 / month?..

                            Hello,


                            You will be able to locate your Kinetick ID from the account connection in NinjaTrader:
                            • Control Center > Tools > Account Connections...
                            • Highlight Kinetick > Click Change
                            • Click Next
                            • Click Next
                            • Copy the Login
                            • Click Cancel
                            • Click Close on the account connections window
