Ninjatrader Custom bartype shortcut

I have a custom bartype, wicked renko bars, how do i make a shortcut to select this through the shortcut dataseries? For example, to select a 2 renko chart, i type "2 RE" and it changes.

I've also tried overwriting the @BarTypes file with my logic for the custom bar type instead of the renko logic, but that didn't change anything on the chart.

Unfortunately, there is no shortcut that can be added to quickly access a custom bar type without opening the Data Series menu (right click > Data Series).

Is it possible overwrite the @BarsTypes file to change how the renko bars are formed? I tried doing this but I dont see a change on the chart

habibalex, I would not try to overwrite the default ones, but you could create your own type - just copy out the Renko bars type class for example and work it into a custom file that would fit to your needs then. Whenever a change is made be sure to recompile and restart NT fresh then.

There's a couple examples also in the sharing section of custom types deployed, officially we would not have documentation yet though. That's an area we plan to improve for our next major platform update.
