NT not saving todays data (from yahoo)

I find when changing charts it doesn't show the latest candle (todays) for about 20 seconds. it will show up to the 9th, but the 10th(today) doesn't come through for 15 /20 seconds. Even if i go into the data downloader and download up to today it doesn't come through instantly. i also ticked "save chart data as historical" and it still doesn't save todays candle when i go to another chart and flick back to the original one. very frustrating if i want to quickly flick through charts and see how today's candle is forming.

i'm using yahoo with ASX stocks data

Thank you for your post.

Within the Options menu's Data tab (Tools > Options > Data) please un-check the 'Get Data From Server' box. Next, click OK to apply your change and try to recreate the issue.

unfortunately hasn't made a difference.
still if a choose a stock, wait for 30 seconds it shows todays candle, then enter a code for another stock, then change back to the original stock todays candle is gone, then i have to wait again for it to appear

also if i right click on the chart and click "reload historical data" the recent candle dissapears

Hello,

NinjaTrader would display the data which Yahoo provides at the rate which yahoo sends the data. Can you provide a few examples of instruments you see this behavior with so that I may further test here?

Unfortunately, it can take a few seconds for the current daily bar to appear with the free Yahoo data feed. I experience the same on my end.

yes i'm ok with that, but when i go to another instrument and go back to CBA for example, shouldn't it save the data?
