Utilizing the DLL interface was met with producing the following error:
Warning: The function 'UnSubscribeMarketData' was not found in the library
Also the following release notes showed that OT was having the same problem that was supposedly fixed for them, although not explained how!
NinjaTrader Version 6.5.0.10 Beta Release - March 4, 2008
Fixed 2147: OpenTick adapter - Did not Unsubscribe from market data correctly resulting in unnecessary log entries
Hacking into NtDirect.dll(mild hack nothing to worry about
) revealed that the function in the DLL Interface Functions of the V6.5 Help Manual is WRONGLY spelled as "int UnSubscribeMarketData(string instrument)" whereas the hack shows the spelling as UnsubscribeMarketData the "S" should not have been in Capital letters!
Problem solved and, happily utilizing the DLL Interface.
Hope the above will save many hundreds of hours of wasted labor by fellow NT users if NT immediately publishes a Release note to this effect.
