    open positions

    if i have a list of symbols i'm trading - ie eur.usd, usd.cad, gbp.usd, etc is it possible to set-up an if statement checking for open positions? ie if i only want to have 3 positions open at one time.

    private int OpenPositions = 3; // Default setting for open positions

    protected override void OnBarUpdate ()
    {
    if (
    Total open positions in the account <= OpenPositions
    && Condition1
    )
    {
    EnterLongLimit(0, GetCurrentAsk(), "LongEnty";
    }}

    Hi another trader,

    When it comes to positions in NinjaScript, this will depend on how many different symbols you have added to the script.

    The script will have 1 position per symbol. This position will have a quantity.

    To find the position quantity use:
    Position.Quantity

    http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...7/quantity.htm

    To find the number of Positions (number of symbols added to the script using the Add() call):
    Positions.Count
