how do I set an instrument list to be the default one for charts and DOMs?

when I click the dropdown symbol list in a chart or dom, it uses the instrument list called "default"

I want to use another one I created called "main"

The instrument list that will be used will always be the Default instrument list. This cannot be changed.

i don't really understand what the point of having instrument lists is.. if only default can be used?

how can i rename or save an instrument list as the default?

This would not be possible, you would need to add the instruments to the Default instrument list.

ok but i still don't understand what the purpose of an instrument list is. There must be something I'm missing... they must have some use

When selecting an instrument from the Data Series menu in the chart (right click > Data Series) you can select from the various Instrument Lists. When running backtests on strategies you can perform basket tests on instrument lists.
