Range Bars Time Vs. Points

Hello,


I know that Range Bars are limited to to a certain amount of points (based on your preferred option) then another bar forms. What if there isn't much price action to fulfill the point requirement and a new day begins. Does the bar continue or is a new bar formed?


If a new bar is formed despite it not fulfilling the point requirement, what other situations can cause this to happen?

Welcome to forums and thank you for your post.

Range bars will reset at the end of session, regardless of whether the tick requirement is met for the final bar. The end of the session is the only instance that this will occur.
