continuous contracts

I'd like to be able to use DTN/IQ's @ES#C with NinjaTrader. Unfortunately, Instrument Manager appears to only permit the charting of non-adjusted contracts.

Why is this?

Does anyone know of a workaround to enable the charting of an adjusted contract? Thanks

Hello tortoise08,

Can you please go to Control Center-->Tools-->Instrument Manager. Highlight the ES in the 'Available master instruments' section. Set Expiry to ##-## and click the arrow pointing to the left. Subsequently create a chart for the ES ##-## and check if data is loaded as expected.

Thanks for the response. I have that, but when I plot ES ##-## there's a big gap where the rollover occurs. I have seen some charts where the past contract data is adjusted to match that of the front month, which aids greatly in support/resistance analysis.

How does one accomplish this on Niinja?

Please create a chart for the ES 12-14 and request enough days of historical data. NinjaTrader automatically merges historical data from previous expiry months back adjusted (no gaps).
