Using NT, IB and IBController

Not sure if this is the appropriate forum for this but I am trying to have Ninjatrader connect to IB where IB was already started by IBController.

NT tries to restart IB as opposed to simply connecting to the currently running IB instance.

Same goes the other way around, if I start IB from NT and then fire up IBController, then IBController tries to restart IB.

I simply need both NT and IBController to share the same IB instance.

Can anyone point me in the right direction.

FWIW IBController allows you to prevent IB from shutting down and then gracefully closes it at the end of the week etc. that is the main reason I am using it. My strategies need to run 24 hours/day.

Thank you for your note.

I cannot comment on the nature of IBController and its compatibility with IB and NT.

When attempting to connect to IB from NT, if the instance of TWS is not running it will start the TWS Application and then attempt to connect. If the instance is already running, NT looks for the title name of the TWS Window to connect to.

If IBController is interfering with this, would need to talk to them about the nature of this product.
