plot executions

Hello,

sorry that question: shouldnt there been plotted the trade in a chart when set plot executions to marker or text and marker also when the trade is done with chart-trader in another chart?

Thank you for your post.

These executions should be plotted with your settings. I would recommend that you enable Chart Trader to see which account is selected in the chart. Keep in mind that NinjaTrader will display only the executions from the account which is selected here.

To enable/disable Chart Trader click the fourth icon from the right in the chart toolbar.

thank you for your reply.I have removed strategies from the chart to be able to enable chart-trader and now I can see the triangles and arrows (and text). Both accounts are SIM101. So, I understand one can not see the execution-plots when chart-trader is disabled because of strategies in that chart - even when same account?

But why do I not see the green and crimson dotted lines of the trade (profitable and unprofitable) as shown in data-series-properties window?

Hi Tony,

The Chart Trader interface does not need to remain enabled, it would only need to be used to select the account to display. The position lines which you're referring to will require that the strategy is applied to the chart in order to be displayed.

Hi Kyle,

thank you for your prompt reply. Another question referring chart trader please. When going to chart trader properties and setting scale quantity to a value of 1 and then clicking on set default this should then use the scale quantity in all chart-traders (=chart trader on all instruments). Correct? But there appears in the chart-traders a scale quantity value of "0", even when disabled and enabled chart trader new.

Hello Tony,

The default setting which you define would apply only to newly created charts.
