Getting data from 2 providers simultaneous

Good day,

I have a question regaring my data feed.

I use Kinetick data and IB data as a back-up. I use Kinetick data for everything. Now I want to start swingtrading some YI and YG but since Kinetick doesn't support ICE, I need to get my data from IB.

Now here's where the problem is.. I use delayed data from IB (I swing trade and keep positions for weeks so no need for tick data), but if I want to put a chart on NT, I get an error that there is no historical data. Thats probably because NT checks my Kineteck data. However, I want to use my IB data for these to contracts..

How can I set my NT that it uses my (back-up) IB data when Kinetick doesn't support ICE?

Thank you for your forum post.


In order to receive ICE data in NinjaTrader would require connecting to your Interactive Brokers account first, and then Kinetick.


With this setup however, you will not receive real-time data in NinjaTrader since your Interactive Brokers account is providing delayed data.


If you are establishing multiple connections that overlap in their provided market data services, the connection order you establish is critical. NinjaTrader will check for required market data services in the order your connections are established.


With that being said, you can obtain historical data for ICE products by first connecting to Interactive Brokers and requesting the data, then disconnect from Interactive Brokers and connect to Kinetick and then connect back to Interactive Brokers.
