Historical data from IB doesnt load

Hello, i have problem with historical data via IB data. I have demo account and i cant "Reload all historical data". If i close and open ninjatrader, i dont have historical data again. May you help me pls ? IB tells me, that demo accounts have his. data one year to the past.

As far as I know, IB demos do not provide historical data.

Ok, so if i shut down ninjatrader, i cant receive any historical data after launching ? and if i dont close ninjatrade, i will have data since that time what i have opened ninja ? i am correct ? thank you a lot Chelsea

Hi fLife,

NinjaTrader will not be able to download the historical data from TWS. This is causing the data to be gone when restarting or when opening a new chart.

Any data that appears on the chart in real time will continue to be there unless the chart is reloaded.


There is an option to record historical data from a real-time feed. However, I must mention that the prices from the demo IB feed are not real and are simulated.

To record live data as historical data so that it will be available on a chart after a restart:

• Click Tools -> Options... -> Data
• Check the box to enable 'Save chart data as historical' -> click OK
