I have a cs file for a MedianRenko bar, how to I get this into NT?

Thank you for writing in.

You will want to place the file in (My)Documents -> NinjaTrader 7 -> bin -> Custom -> Type. Make sure to restart NinjaTrader. It should then be available to you from the "Type" drop down under the "Period" section of your Data Series.

This is not the way to do this.. I now get errors on compiling a strategy

Thank you for your response.

This IS the correct procedure to manually install custom bar types. I would not blindly give you instructions.

That being said, I have seen some posts on Big Mike's Trading forum that mention this bar type specifically.

Instructions from that forum thread: Please remove the .cs file from your bin->Custom -> Type folder. Rename the file to MedianRenkoBarsType.cs, zip it into a zip file named MedianRenkoBarsType.zip with the file .cs file in the \type directory, import it, restart NT, and it will appear in the data series list.
