Sim101 Account settings

Hello,

I was wondering what the Sim101 account settings were for my NinjaTrader Sim101 account.

The margin is set at 0.50, what does this mean? 0.50 of what? Percent?

And maintenance margin? What is this?

Thank you for the post.

1) Margin would be like borrowing money from your broker to purchase a contact. 0.50 margin would be the Simulated margin applied to the simulated account balance. Having a 0.50 margin would increase the buying power by that amount.

2) The Maintenance Margin would be the minimum account balance you would have to maintain before the feed would require you to reset the simulation account. If the order being placed is an entry order and you do not have enough Excess Equity, the order will be rejected.
