Trades won't show up in TWS

Hello,

I'm new to Ninjatrader, but have been trading for a while now using Interactive Brokers TWS. I'm trying out the software, connected to my IB demo account, but there seems to be a problem: I can send orders trough ninja trader without any problems, but they don't show up in my TWS Trade log or Portfolio.

I've checked, they are connected and the market data is coming from IB.
Any help would be much appreciated!

I have seen some things that may be causing this, but i'm not sure if it is related:
-At startup of ninja trader the box checked is Simulated trading
-At account type it says Sim101
Like i said I'm not sure if this is the problem, looks like it, but i don't know how to fix it

Thank you for your post and welcome to the forum.

The Free Edition license key of NinjaTrader is locked to the sim101 account. This is a simulation account within NinjaTrader. Thus, even though you are receiving data from IB, your orders will not be routed to TWS.

In order to use the IB paper trading account, or route any orders to an account outside of NinjaTrader, a live license key must be purchased or leased.

You will be able to simulate for free using the sim101 account definitely but these orders will not be routed to TWS and will not be applied to your IB paper trading account.
