When strategies are being run from the strategies tab, is it required to have any charts open for the instruments at all?

For cross currency pairs that the USD is not part of the pair, is it possible to just use the Market Analyzer to have the USD quote pair in order to get the proper conversion rate for the PnL rather than bringing up the chart?

Hello Jg123,

You do not have to have a chart open to run a strategy from a Strategies Tab.

I'm not sure I follow along with the conversion, could you please clarify here?

When a new IB connection is made, a pop window comes up and says, "If you are trading non-USD pairs please ensure you have data streaming for related USD conversion pairs priorto placing orders. This is required for accurate PnL reporting."

Therefore, I wonder if it is possible to just have that streaming data come through the Market Analyzer rather than via a chart.
