Backup - Full - then error restore Scripts part

I just did a backup on my desktop and I wanted to do a restore on my Laptop to take with me during travels. It said it restored everything except Ninja Scripts as it would corrupt my installation. Thoughts?

I have the same version on both machines, but I only installed Ninja & on the laptop, and I had not installed any personal scripts, or other stuff. I was thinking I would let the backup / Restore get everything for me, so I had the same "stuff" on both machines. Indicators, workplaces, data, connections, accounts. etc

PS - I am running th restore from a thumbdrive - removable media.

Thank you for your post.

Sometimes NinjaTrader can have difficulties restoring a backup due to the path name of the imported indicators.
When this happens, it is still possible to manually restore the scripts.
To do this:

* Make a copy of the backup file to keep the original backup safe.
* Next rename the extension of the backup file to .zip.
* For example if there was a backup made today the file name would be 2014-05-05.ntbk. Rename this to 2014-05-05.zip.
* Next, open the .zip file and copy everything from the bin/Custom folder to:
* (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 7\bin\Custom
* After this compile any script in NinjaTrader

To compile a script:

* Open NinjaTrader
* From the Control Center select the Tools menu--> select the Edit NinjaScript menu item--> select Indicator
* Select any indicator and double click on it (we need only to open and compile one script to see all compile errors for all files)
* A new window will appear and you will need to right click in the window and select Compile to compile the indicators

If there are errors that appear, please take a screenshot of this and send this to me.
