Sim trade stops triggered in After Hours

I've been having this issue for a while. I'm currently using Ninjatrader paired with TD Ameritrade to practice sim trading. I prefer to swing trade vs day trade and, therefore, I hold many of my trades overnight. I've noticed that sometimes some of my trades will get triggered during the after hours. Is there a way to prevent this? I know IB has an option to only trade during RTH but TD Ameritrade does not.

Unfortunately, there is not a method within NinjaTrader which would allow you to prevent orders from executing after hours. I will forward that suggestion to our development staff for further consideration however.

Your understanding is correct, no work around is possible.
