Deleting Old Contracts

In my instrument list in the Control Center, I've got instruments going back years. This makes it cumbersome to filter trades by instrument. How can I delete those old contracts?

Thank you for writing in.

To remove the old contracts from your instrument list, please go to Control Center -> Tools -> Instrument Manager. Select the instrument list you would like to remove contracts from the "Instrument Lists:" drop down on the upper left-hand side. Now, select the contract you would like to remove from the list with a single left-click and select the ">" button to remove it. Repeat for each additional contract. Press "OK" when you are finished to save the change.

Those aren't the contracts I want to remove. If you click the basic/advanced button in the control center, there will be a list of contracts that you can filter your trades with. It's there that I've got old contracts that I'm trying to get rid of.

The instrument manager is clean, with only 3 current instruments.

Thank you for your reply.

My apologies for the misunderstanding. These are stored on the database file. You must reset the database to remove them.

Please follow the instructions below to reset the NinjaTrader database.

• Disconnect NinjaTrader from any open connections via File > Disconnect
• From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options
• Select the "Data" tab
• Press the "Reset DB" button
• Press the "OK" button

The following data will be removed:

1. Historical orders
2. Historical executions
3. Historical ATM strategy data
4. Saved Strategy Analyzer backtest results

The following data will be maintained:

1. ATM strategy templates
2. Historical chart data
