    Unable to open up Ninja Trader today

    I was using version 6 until this morning.

    For the past few days a window telling me about the new Beta version has popped up during the process of opening up Ninja Trader.

    After clicking "OK" on this little window, Ninja Trader has opened up as normal.

    This morning when I went to open NT, this little window was almost completely hidden by the Ninja Trader launching window which always appears while Ninja Trader is pulling up the charts and the control centre etc.

    Because I am unable to access the "OK" button on the little window, Ninja Trader is unable to open any further. I have uninstalled version 6 and reinstalled version 6 and the same problem is still there.

    I have now installed Version 6.5 but all my templates and chart history are inside the version 6 files. I have managed to move my templates and 3rd party indicators across to version 6.5 from my version 6 files.

    But I don't know how to move all my saved historical tick data.

    Please can you tell me how to move my charting history - all past data which I had on version 6 - across from the version 6 files to the version 6.5 files. Obviously I need to do this manually since I can't open version 6 to access File > Utilities > Export NinjaScript etc.

    Either that or please can you tell me how I can access that pesky little window to shut it down?

    When you installed NT 6.5, did you agree to have NT 6 information migrated? If yes, your historical data should have been moved over.

      When I installed 6.5 I wasn't asked whether I wished to have the historical data imported. I just saw the notes which instructed me how to export from NT 6 and import into NT 6.5. But as I've explained I couldn't follow those instructions because I couldn't/can't access NT 6.....

      On NT 6.5 I now only have 3 days data instead of several months of data.

      Please can you tell me how to move the historical data manually from my NT 6 files over to my NT 6.5 files OR tell me how to get rid of problem I have with opening up NT 6.

        Shut down any NT instances.

        Delete the file My Documents\NinjaTrader 6.5\log\install
        Restart NT 6.5 --> Should ask if you wish to migrate data --> Say Yes
