My issue is with the Nikkei (yen) contract on CME (NKY). My data source is IB and it didn't have an IB symbol map by default so I added NIY. Then I got the ambiguous error message as other reported here for silver:
I changed the symbol map to NIY|||500 and that fixed the error message and I can chart it fine. The problem is that I still can't see a DOM or Time and Sales.
The Nikkei (dollar) contract (NKD) didn't have an IB symbol map either so I added NKD and it works fine. I can see the DOM and Time and Sales so the problem with Nikkei (yen) seems to be something to do with the ambiguity.
