Question about historical data

Hello.

If I record live data for market replay, where can I find the data file for each day? Is one file created for each day? My data provider does not offer historical tick data further than 4 months, but I would like to retain this data for the future. As such, I would like to make copies of the data files for each day in case of database corruption.

Thank you for your post.

Market Replay data and historical data are kept in separate locations.

Replay data is saved within the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > DB > Data folder within a series of folders named by date in a YYYYMMDD format. Within those dated folders are the replay files themselves.

Historical data would be found within the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > DB folder as well; within the Tick, Day and Minute folders. Within those folders are instrument specific sub-folders which hold the historical data files.
