    confirm all data is imported

    Hello

    What is the easiest way to confirm that all historical tick data has been properly imported?

    By this I mean that there are no date/time gaps in my import

    Hello jg123,

    I suggest to create a chart for the imported data and check if you see any gaps. This would be easier to see than checking the Historical Data Manager-->Edit-tab, which shows all historical data that is present in NinjaTrader.

      What happens if I import the same data twice? does it just overwrite the previous data or will I run into errors that are complicated to fix?

        I believe it will overwrite the data. Why would you want to import it twice?

          I don't have the desire to import it twice. It is more that if I noticed one date that I missed. Say, for example, when importing everything I missed July 31, 2013. So to make sure that I get every tick in their properly, I may decide to import July 30 through August 1, or something like that. Just asking for a failsafe in case I do find data at the beginning or end of a period that I missed.

            I see, thank you for clarifying.

            It will not produce any errors. I just tested it on my end and the import was successful.

            I exported a week of historical minute data. Then I deleted two days (of that week) of historical data. Subsequently I imported the exported data successful. The missing days were present again.
