Is there a way to backup open positions and restore if needed?

    Hello,
I am planning to run a strategy that will make trades over a long period of time for a number of stocks simultaneously.

Keeping in mind that it is likely for NT to crash and/or the workaround that I made for IB's overnight logoff might sometimes fail, I need to ask if there's a way to manually backup all data (including active strategies and open position).

I would practically do that at the end of each session just as a precaution against any crash...as this would erase all open positions and would mess up my whole plan.

    Thanks.

nikolaalx, you could run a backup for all your files to have a convenient master backup file in case of a system issue to restore from, but it would not provide the strategy position backup you seek. If you reenable your strategy in such a case it would first recalculate the historical strategy position, which might / might not be what you had from the realtime run reflected in your account > meaning a sync would be needed here to match them up. Our next major platform update will have more options in this regard.
