How do I enter the following:

Not to buy a stock that has gapped up or down by over 10 percent since the previous close?

Hello cdnPATRIOT,

Using the Strategy Wizard, you would only be able to tell NinjaTrader to do an action if a condition you have is met for example if you are in a position and you would like to exit your position if the market went down 10 percent.

Would you be in a position at that time?

The strategy requires that I not buy stocks that have gapped up or down by over 10 percent. So no I would not be in a position at that time.

Thanks cdnPATRIOT, for the entries you would not be directly able to do the math needed from the wizard, you could reference a script like the attached GapDetect though that would do this math for you (intraday charts for this example needed).

It's plot will give you a % value with a sign (depending on up / dn gap) that you can check as part of your conditions.
