Last Daily Bar is 4/2/2014

Today is 4/1/2014

But I noticed that my last Bar is posting as 4/2/2014 on the Futures Chart. Why doesnt my last bar post as 4/1/2014 which is today?

I am connected to Kinetick EOD

My session template is 24/5

Can you please advise why my last bar shows as 4/2/2014?

I noticed that my Monthly Bar (starting today) has the same High and Low as the 4/2/2014 candle and is not using the 4/1/2014 candle.

Thank you for your post.

NinjaTrader displays the closing date and time for the bar so this behavior indicates that the close takes place after 11:59:59 PM in your timezone. Which timezone does your PC use?

Please middle mouse click on the '4/2' bar in the chart to load it's values in the mini-data box. Which time is reported for the bar?

Hello,

Please open the Session Manager (Tools > Session Manager) then select the Default 24/5 template. Near the bottom of the window, change the timezone setting to UTC - 4:00 then click OK. Finally, reload data in the chart and you should now see the bar listed as 4/1.

I changed the setting and it still is showing 4/2/2014

Hello,

Can you please go back to the Session Manager and re-select the Default 24/5 template? If the UTC-4:00 setting is not still in place please re-select that option and click the Save button before closing the Session Manager.

Its fixed... not sure what you did.

When I click the middle mouse it says now:

D: 4/1/2014 23:00

Should I keep the setting at -4 instead of -5 (for Eastern Time where I live)?

Not sure what is the cause

I Just Noticed that the Default Session Template for 24/5 for Ninjatrader is WRONG.

It says Monday 12:00AM to Tuesday 12:00am

Instead of Monday: 12:00AM to Monday 11:59pm

I JUST made this change and now the charts work PERFECTLY

I believe you need to change this in the installation of Ninjatrader so other People do not face same issue

The session template is not wrong. But you should not use it anyhow. A session template should always reflect the contractual trading times of the instrument to which it is applied. And I do not know a single exchange with opening times from midnight EST to midnight EST. Do you know one?

And the correct template would be from 12:00 AM to 12:00 AM. Otherwise you would exclude the trade data of 1 minute between 11:59 PM and 12:00 AM. Therefore I don't share your conclusions.

Which session template would you use to simulate Daily Candles on all instruments with a 1440 minute Chart so it also shows ETH?
