Settings not saving

I recently updated to the latest Ninja release and upgraded to a new PC.

For some reasons my settings are not saving. On searching the forum I found a similar thread 64558.

Like Synergy, I made changes, clicked OK, exited NT and reopened, the settings were not changed.

I followed NT Jason's instructions i.e.
exit NT
renamed config.xml
restart NT
made changes
exit
restart NT
Options again did not save

Please help

Unfortunately I cannot find the thread you refer. When searching for "64558", it only contains this forum thread as result.

Can you please tell me what settings you refer. Are you referring to the "Mail setup" settings under Options-->Misc-tab? If so, please make sure you click the OK button after you entered your settings.

It is the options under tools in the control panel

And I definitely clicked OK as the settings are set until I exit NT.

Can you please send me your log and trace files, so I can investigate. Go to Control Center-->Help-->Mail to Support. Put 'Att Jason, Settings not saving' in the subject header and enable 'Log and trace files'.

Thanks for your help Jason. Thought I'd put the note here just in case someone hits the same problem.

Options were not saving because my antivirus, AVG in my case, had locked the folder.

My first instincts were that this was not the case as my indicators successfully write to the same folder as the config.xml file.

However Options saved when I disabled AVG.
