Where are the .wav files stored that are used for alerts? ... and what is the best
way to produce custom audio alerts and place them where NT can access?

Thank you for your post.

NinjaTrader sound files are held in the C:\Program Files (x86)\NinjaTrader 7\sounds folder. Since NinjaTrader does not support the addition of new sounds you would need to replace the existing files with the .wav files you intend to use.

wav wont play

Hi, I've renamed a wav file to "StopFilled" but NT wont play it.
I have used it before and have used others from the same source and they work fine.

Any idea why NT won't play THIS file?

Thanks for your reply.

it does require that the sound file you are using is a PCM wav file.

If the audio is not working and you're sure you've named the file correctly, I'd suggest opening this file in a sound editor and re-saving the file as a PCM .wav

You can use a free program such as Audacity to do this.

You set me on the correct path. Although, I felt I needed to have a degree to operate Audacity
I found "Switch Sound File Converter" and saved the wav file as a wav file. I know, right?

But it worked.
