Hi,

If trading Forex, is it possible to have Ninjatrader work out a % of your current trading account to use instead of calculating this on every trade you take?

Would save a lot of time and I guess you will be more focused on trading...

Synergy, what we would have per default is the option to calculate the order size ByAccountSize taking into consideration an account value you supply and margins set for the instruments - http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...ub=accountsize

With this code you can set an AccountSize in Initialize() which would be used to calculate the qty then if you're strategy is set to do order qty ByAccountSize.

Okay I think I understand what you mean...

Is there a tutorial or a video one can follow to do this or do I just Google it and hope for the best? Sorry Im not into writing code and stuff...

This would be something you enter in the Initialize() method of your strategy script, however to test and not work via code, you can actually do this from the UI as well. Under your order properties for the script, choose to set quantity ByAccountSize and the UI would add the AccountSize user input field.
