Keeping text on charts

I'd like to know how I can keep my text and channels etc on charts when I change the contract month. Thanks.

Thank you for your post.

Unfortunately, this is not possible in NinjaTrader's current version. In NinjaTrader 7 the drawing and text objects are tied to the contract where they are drawn. This is something which we hope to change in future versions of the software however.

Look in the ...\templates\GlobalChartObject folder. You should see an xml file named after the contract which has the drawings. Copy the file and name it after the new contract, using the old name as a format example.

You do not open the file: it is a configuration file. If you open a chart with the new contract, you will see all the drawings.
