Candlestick patterns are not plotted on same day

Hello,

I have no problem getting the Chart to plot multiple candlestick patterns on the chart. I would like to trade based on the candlestick patterns. But the patterns are not plotted before a day after the pattern occurred. Historically, the candlestick patterns are plotted correctly - meaning on the day it occurs. But if a pattern occurred yesterday then it does not show on the chart before a day has passed. Because of this - my entry will always be delayed one day. Can I change som settings to fix this or how can I go about it?

I just want to entry a position the day after the pattern occurred. So if a Bullish Engulfing occurred yesterday - I would like to see this after market close so I can put an order for buying on the next market opening.

No unfortunately it does not do the trick :-( The patterns are still not being registrated.

I'm just thinking out loud here, so maybe we can get some input from the big guys here as to this idea/hack/work-around.

I'm guessing this is not displaying until the session ends regardless of anything else.

So, as a total work-around, what if you created a NEW session template and made it 'close' say 2 minutes prior to whatever session you're using now, likely US Equity RTH.

Then apply this new session template to your chart. The 'new' session would close, the next bar would start, "Closing" the session and allowing the Pattern to alert you, BUT you would actually still have 2 mins left in the "real" market session to make your trade???

I have no idea if this would work but like I said, just brainstorming since i have to do this a lot when I'm trying to get stuff done using NT - brainstorming I mean, not swapping out sessions per se.

Should you have gotten a certain pattern to trigger @ close Friday?

If not, then you would not even know yet.
