Cannot place on Global Simulation Mode when connected to FXCM

    Cannot place on Global Simulation Mode when connected to FXCM

    When I try to select Global Simulation mode while connected to FXCM I get the following error:
    "You have 1 active order on a live account.
    You have 2 running strategy(s) on live account
    You cant switch to Global Simultation Mode"

    Can you please advise why this is happening? I do not have a strategy Open.

    Thank you for your forum post.


    If you check the positions tab of the Control Center it will list your open positions.

    When checking the Strategies tab of the Control Center, this will show you running strategies.

    From here you can right mouse click > Disable any running strategies.


    As a test, if you disconnect from FXCM within NinjaTrader and then turn off Global Simulation mode, then re-connect, do you receive any error messages?

      When I disconnect from FXCM I can set it to Global Simulation mode.

      I have NO Strategies running.....

        In the message, please include the following:
        1.) A link to this forum thread.
        2.) Your latest log and trace file:
        You will find the log file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.
        • The log file will be named "log.20140311.txt"


        You will find the trace file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.
        • The trace file will be named "trace.20140311.txt"
