Previously i have been using the macd histogram with metastock as my main trading tool. Last week i downloaded ninjatrader for a test and found out that the macd histo in ninja is plot different from metastock. Is this because softwares use different methods to plot the macd histo? For example some bars in metastock stay above the zeroline while the same bars go below it in ninjatrader, and the values for every bars are also different.
Is it possible to configure ninjatrader to have the macd histo plot similar to that of metastock or better still import the indicator from metastock into ninja? It is just a simple 9 exponential macd histo and if any programmer can help with this please let me know. I need to get this sorted out before i can start using ninjatrader for my futures trades. Thanks.
