Help with historical data please

HI,
I am only able to get data as far back as 2005 fro the AUD futures 6A contract.
Both from IB and Kinetic. I need to get data from the beginning of the contract which I believe is 1987.
Can you tell me why that might be please?
And then help me to get the data I require?

Thank you for your post.

No intraday data from prior to this point would be available through Kinetick. As I recall, this would also be the limit of the historical data which Interactive Brokers offers to NinjaTrader.

I do not know of a data source which you could use to find this data however if you find a source it is possible to import historical data from a text file in to NinjaTrader. Please see the following link to our Help Guide for more information: http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h.../importing.htm

I have it in "Metastock" format, can that be imported?

Yes, this is possible. You would set Format to MetaStock as per the link below under 'Understanding the import options'.

Please note that the instrument for which you import data needs to be present in NinjaTrader before you import the data. I am not sure what instrument names the MetaStock data uses. You need to make sure that you have instruments in the Instrument Manager that use the same MetaStock instrument name for the Master instrument name.
