backtesting in progress.. but nothing happens

Dear All ,

I follow the training video for atm level 1 , and im trying to run backtest for the Crossover SMA (fasr & slow) as the example shows in the video here:

Now Im in trial version , did not download any market data yet ,and connected to kinetick EOD free data.

im trying to run the strategy for ES 03-14

Any ideas?


btw - using NT 64-bit , 7.0.1000.21

well actually im connecting to my broker @ IB.

but as i understand if i set data series based on 5 minutes , i can not use EOD data ...

On the first screenshot it seems like you're connecting to Kinetick? The free end of day connection would not have intraday data, so the backtest on anything below daily interval would not be expected to give any meaningful resuls, if you change the data series to daily - what would the outcome be?

Correct, IB would offer minute and daily data, which is in contrast to your first shown setup.
