Hi I am new and getting ready to start using NT and have a few questions

What does Get Data from Server (If Available do) compared to using saved data. What is recommended?

Regarding Real-time data, I have save chart data as historical clicked. I suspect this is the right setting so I can do back testing. Correct?

Thank you for your post.

If you have access to historical data from your connection then you would want to use Get Data from Server. The other option is used for when you don't have access to historical data and need to save the incoming real time data.

The historical data that you have access to from your connection will allow you to run backtests on that data. You would not need to use the save chart data as historical unless you did not have access to historical data.
