Increase default Forex Currencies to 5 Digit Ticksize, for Charting & Trading

    Hi,

To trade FOREX, I want to increase the precision of NT Charts and Ordering Management from 4 digits to 5 digits.

The NT instrument manager has the currency pairs default setup as "Tick Size" equal to 0.0001.

I trade directly on the Chart using Kinetic & Interactive Brokers and I want the Charts to have 5-digit precision AND still be able use the sim101 account to trade using 5-digits precision.

Can I merely edit the NT Instrument Manager to increase the Tick Size for the currency pairs I trade from the default 0.0001 to 5 digits of 0.00001 ?

Can you please let me know ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Lucius,

You will want to use the 'Quote currencies (FX) in' setting. This setting can be found by going to Tools > Options > Data tab.

Interactive Brokers supports the HalfPip setting and Kinetick supports the TenthPip setting.

If you are submitting the orders to Interactive Brokers, you will want to use the HalfPip setting.

More information can be found at the link below.
