audio volume control

I see that there are posts since 2005 requesting a built in volume control for Ninja. Please elaborate regarding this post which offers a solution:

This is what I see with the mixer in Win 7

As you can see Ninja does not show. If I bring down the speaker level it limits everything. I want to keep the GoToMeeting sound high but bring down the Ninja level which is loud enough to make me jump out of my trading seat!
Why not have a built in vol level for Ninja? The suggestion was put into development a long time ago. Or is there something I'm missing with the Windows control?

Thank you for your note.

I'll forward your message to our Development Team to consider adding an individual volume control to NinjaTrader.

In the mean time, NinjaTrader will not appear on the mixer until a sound has been triggered.

For example, if you have NinjaTrader set to play a sound on Order Pending, place an order to the SIM101 account and wait to hear the sound play.

If the Mixer is open you will see either the NinjaTrader icon, SuperDOM, Chart, or other icon that is related to the window that you placed the order. You can then move the slider for NinjaTrader to lower the volume.
