    IB Data Feed

    Hello NT Support,

    Having trouble getting my IB data feeds onto my NT charts. I've downloaded the special IB TWS version and I've clicked the allow API connection button in the general IB configuration. Out of ideas

    Hello,

    Thanks for the post.

    Can you let us know the following please:
    - What instrument are you looking at?
    - What interval are you using?
    - Are you connected to your Live account or to the Sim 101 account?
    - Do you see any error messages in the log tab of the control center?
    - When you say 'special IB TWS', you mean TWS 938.1, correct?

      I checked the log and it said no data permssion from IB. I had this issue before back in 2012.
      I am trying to use data from my IB paper trading account (DU) instead of my live account. Apparently it's a matter of using the right versions of TWS and NT. This is what Bertrand said back then. I believed it solved the problem:

      I confirmed the current TWS Build Number I'm using is 938.1 e

            Hello Ben,

            Can you please send a note to support at ninjatrader dot com and refer to this post. Include in your email what instrument you are looking at with what interval and also include your Log and Trace for today.

            You will find the log file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.
            • The log file will be named "log.20140217.txt"

            You will find the trace file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.
            • The trace file will be named "trace.20140217.txt"

            Put in the subject header 'For Vince'.
