    exit orders with ATM

    Hello,
This is a topic i've been struggling with for a while.
Using the chart trader, with Keep Selected ATM Strategy Template on Order Submission,

How do you control closing positions independently for each order.
Assuming i have entered 2 contracts, I'm looking for the easiest and fastest way to choose and close one of my contracts. How do i do that?
    thx

    Hi frover,

The quickest way to scale out one contract, is to select the active strategy and click the Market button on the opposing side of the market. (If you are long, click Market on the sell side).

thx, but upon selecting active strategy in the dropdown, there is no way to know which one you're choosing, they're all named the same with a number added. So again, what would be a fast an reliable way to know which one i'm closing?

        Hello frover,

The ATM strategy instances will be in the order of the orders you place.

However, if you need a way to simplify which orders below to which strategy you can display only the orders from the selected strategy.

        To do this:
        • Right-click the SuperDOM or Chart Trader area -> select (Chart Trader) Properties...
        • Change the value for ATM Strategy selection mode to DisplaySelectedAtmStrategyOnly

Below is a link to the help guide on ATM Strategy Selection Mode.

thx, i find this 2nd solution too risky.
How about graphically getting out of the position?
Let's say i drag one of my tgts on the chart, above the current price (in the case of a sell), it will close that specific order, right?
That solution, will that work with any ATM strategy selection option?
And could it affect my fill, could it be different from a close or buy market order?

            Hello,

It would be fine to move your target to the other side of the market to exit the position.

This is also what the close button would do, though the close button will do this for all orders.

This would work for Select Active ATM Strategy on Order Submission and Keep Selected ATM Strategy Template on Order Submission modes.
