Is ATM running locally or on server?

Hello,

I'm new to Ninja Trader 7 and I love the ATM feature it provides. However I'm confused where the ATM is actually running, on my PC or on the server? In other words, if I opened a trade with ATM trailing stop and quit Ninja program, will the stop loss continue to trail?

Can anyone shed some light for me?

The Stop Loss and Profit Target orders themselves may reside on broker/exchange servers. Please see the following link for more information about where orders reside: http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/...ead.php?t=5349

Stop Strategies such as auto-trail and auto-breakeven reside on the local PC and would not function if NinjaTrader was disconnected.

Thank you for the info.

I have FXCM for my broker. So if I open up and stop and Take profit using OCO then that remains on my computer. So what you are saying is I need to leave my computer running anytime I am in a trade. Correct?

Your understanding is correct, NinjaTrader would need to be running and connected to the FXCM account in order for OCO to function.
